Challenging Times

In 1998 the Suharto regime crumbled, plunging Bali into an era of hyperinflation. Janet remained determined to create new jobs with good wages and working conditions. Despite the turbulent times, she ploughed ahead with plans to construct a vast new facility in Kemenuh to serve as Head Office. Her fierce determination saw the company through many ensuing crises including the Asian Economic Crisis, a huge currency devaluation, a divorce and the recent bombing of a nightclub in Kuta.
